Acredita CI is an Agency committed to quality assurance processes in higher education, offering 12 years of experience in the development of these processes and nearly 700 accredited undergraduate programs and master’s degrees in the areas of Administration and Commerce, Technology, Sciences and Natural Resources.
The Agency was founded under the umbrella of the Chilean Engineering Association (Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile) in 2006.
Among the Association’s key objectives are:
- “To promote the personal, professional, scientific and technological improvement of its members.”
- “To promote the development of Engineering and the progress, prestige and standing of the engineering profession.”
- “To contribute the knowledge and experience of its members to the country’s development, in its broadest sense.”
Following the enactment of Law 21.091 in Chile in May 2019, which mandated the suspension of program accreditation by the CNA (to be resumed in 2025), the Accreditation Agency, together with the Chilean Engineering Association, will promote the continuous updating of graduate profiles for engineering education and will guide the development of professional competencies required by society to strengthen industry engagement; supporting programs at Higher Education Institutions through accreditation processes.
